14 DAY TRIAL // Kristen Stewart has been keeping very busy post “Twilight” and, according to a new report, she is actually calling all the shots regarding her career. For her next project, she has decided she wants to do an action comedy in which Demi Moore will play her character’s mother.
Radar Online claims that Moore has been Stewart’s “idol” for years but she is determined to make this collaboration happen now because she finds a similarity in their careers and “somewhat depressing public images.”
Both Kristen and Demi have gotten lots of media attention over the past couple of years because of their love life and both saw the love of their life (Robert Pattinson and Ashton Kutcher, respectively) walk out on them because of cheating.
The difference is that, in Kristen’s case, Robert broke up with her because she was the one doing the cheating, whereas Demi felt like she had no choice but to divorce Ashton when he was caught cheating on her again and was then exposed in the media for it.
Still, Kristin apparently believes that playing mother-daughter in front of the camera would be ideal for both.
“Now Kristen is making serious noise about befriending Demi, whom she’s worshipped for years, and convincing her they should play a mother-daughter team in a new action comedy. It’s been a long-held dream of Kristen’s to star in a movie with Demi. She’s been a fan of hers for a good 15 years and is on the hunt for a fun action role for her and Demi!,” an insider tells Radar.
“Demi’s very receptive to working with Kristen, but it will all depend on what scripts she can muster. Stewart was envious of Miley Cyrus, the source said, because Moore played her mom in the 2012 comedy LOL,” adds the source.
If Kristen was jealous of Miley for the chance she had of working with Demi, our guess is she didn’t feel the same when she saw how the movie “LOL” was received by the public and the critics. The comedy barely managed to register at the box office and, to add insult to injury, it was savaged by critics.
Then again, Kristen has had more success at the box office than Miley, even if you don’t count “Twilight,” which was a smash hit with all its 5 installments. So, if she really does team up with Demi Moore, chances are the film will fare better than “LOL.”
Because, no matter what this insider says of Kristen’s career being relatively in the gutter, the truth is that she’s still a major draw for the fans.
