14 DAY TRIAL // Even her fans are not used to seeing her like this: the usually casual Kristen Stewart is featured in the latest issue of W magazine looking drop-dead gorgeous in a photoshoot inspired by retro pinup girls, with a touch of goth as well.
In the accompanying interview, Kristen, usually very shy when it comes to herself, dishes on a variety of topics ranging from the upcoming “Twilight” installments (the final two), her being a tomboy, her acting career and how “Twilight” and the role of Bella have changed her adult life.
Kristen says she was never the “cutesy” girl that dreams of becoming an actress and, in the meantime, until she lands good parts, does commercials.
She knew she wanted to work in the industry ever since she was a child, so she made sure she acted upon it, auditioning for parts and putting herself out there to land projects.
One day, she ended up at an audition for “Twilight,” she recalls. She hadn’t even heard of the books and how successful they were at the time.
“I don’t really know what to say. I just knew I wanted to work. And I did. I was working when I read the script for Twilight. I read the script before I read the book,” she says.
“I actually did the audition before reading the book, which was kind of crazy. Obviously, I tore all four books apart over the course of three years, but initially I had no idea that Twilight was such a big deal,” Kristen adds.
Now, years (and many millions – of dollars and fans) later, Kristen can honestly say one thing: she simply loves vampires.
“I [expletive]-ing love me a vampire [Laughs]. I was 17 when I read Twilight, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t,” she says.
“And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that. Vampires are a little dangerous – and we girls like to test ourselves,” the actress adds.
