Kristen Stewart Swore to Robert Pattinson She Didn’t Sleep with Sanders

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are together again after the cheating scandal that nearly destroyed her career and threatened to put an end for good to their romance. The only reason he agreed to take her back has been revealed.

Sources close to the “Twilight” couple tell Radar Online that the handsome Brit only accepted to give Kristen another try after she offered plenty of assurances that she never really cheated on him.

Scandal broke when photos of Stewart kissing Rupert Sanders in a parking lot emerged online. He directed her in “Snow White and the Huntsman” and was a married man, father of two.

Both owned up to the indiscretion, with various unconfirmed reports saying that neither was as guilty as they appeared to be because they had never slept together, but merely kissed on a couple of occasions.

It would seem that this is how Kristen convinced Robert to give her another chance, Radar Online reports.

“Kristen was absolutely steadfast that she only engaged in several make-out sessions with Rupert but never slept with him,” an insider is quoted as saying.

“Rob didn't believe her in the beginning but as time wore on he accepted her explanation. Kristen has given Rob passwords to her voicemail and e-mail account to prove she has nothing to hide and will do anything to get his trust back,” the spy goes on to say.

Such declarations of love seem to have worked because the two are now back together again, working out their issues.

“They are living together and have reconciled,” says another tipster for the same media outlet.

“There are still a lot of raw emotions there and time will tell if Rob and Kristen stay together. Rob and Kristen will be promoting the final Twilight movie and it will be very interesting to see what happens after that,” adds the source.

Last we heard, rumors were saying Robert had actually given Kristen an ultimatum, using her very public transgression as leverage to get what he always wanted: to marry her.
