Even if her personal life might be a mess right now because of the ongoing cheating scandal, Kristen Stewart still has reason to smile: her career hasn't been affected by it in any way. On the contrary, actually.
Vulture reports that Stewart just landed a juicy role that Jennifer Lawrence of “The Hunger Games” was also in the running for.
The indie film is an adaptation of “Lie Down in the Darkness,” a 1951 novel by William Styron, and could just prove to be the right role for Kristen to show off her natural talent and really establish herself as one of the finest actresses of her generation.
“As part of a dysfunctional and disintegrating family, Peyton [Stewart] is constantly compared to her crippled sister, Maudie, and her intense physical beauty makes her the object of her frigid mother’s jealous hatred and the target of her father’s incestuous, alcoholic lust,” Vulture writes of the plot.
Jennifer was initially up for the part but had to back down because of her busy working schedule.
Vulture also says that, so far, no word on whether Stewart will return as “Snow White” in a sequel.
