14 DAY TRIAL // Since last summer, when Kristen Stewart was photographed kissing married director Rupert Sanders in her car in a Hollywood parking lot, her romance with “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson has been more off than on.
It’s off again, People magazine reports – and the split occurred precisely on his birthday.
Kristen and Robert had been dating for about 3 years and, right before the split, they seemed to be working things out, even making a string of public appearances as a couple.
Fans must already know that photos like the one attached to this article, in which they’re seen holding hands, are rare.
However, “the source says it would not be surprising if the on-and-off-again pair got back together again,” People writes.
“The news follows online reports that Pattinson ditched out on his 27th birthday plans arranged by Stewart,” adds the same media outlet.
“Prior to his birthday, the pair appeared to be on and going strong: They were seen in New York together after the Met Gala – and then flew back to Los Angeles together on May 8. They also recently celebrated Stewart's 23rd birthday together and held hands at Coachella,” the magazine further notes.
Reports of Kristen dating Robert started making the rounds shortly after the first “Twilight” movie came out and turned out to be a huge success.
It wasn’t until much later that actual proof of the relationship became available, as one paparazzo got “the money shot” of the two kissing outside her hotel, on a dark street.
Despite the cheating scandal that Kristen got involved in, fans never stopped rooting for her and Robert as a couple, with many even saying that every young person, man or woman, should be allowed to make mistakes and not be judged publicly for them.
Hours after the photos got out, Kristen issued an apology to Robert. They were reconciled a few weeks later.
