14 DAY TRIAL // In April this year, actress Kristen Stewart debuted her new look on social media, after dyeing her hair orange for a new movie role. Either she’s almost done working on the project or her character has crossed into another stage in her life, because Kristen is now rocking a very short and very cute cut.
The photo above is of the former “Twilight” star in Paris, at the Paris Fashion Week that is now underway. If you’re wondering what she’s doing there since she always said she didn’t want to sell out because she was all about making movies, you should probably know that Kristen has been the face of Chanel for quite some time.
And a fine choice for a representative she is.
As such, it was her contractual duty to be there. She also posed for photos with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld and managed to pull off an outfit that not many young women her age could, given the width of those harem pants and the cropped top.
However, even if she’s not yet entirely comfortable on the red carpet, Kristen has fashion in her blood. This crocheted outfit, with the harem pants that are completely see-through and the cropped top, would have looked ridiculous on another, but she looks stunning.
The chunky accessories and the all-white shoes make the outfit truly stand out.
As for the hair, it looks badly burned but, since Kristen is doing it for her art, it’s clear she’s trying to make the most of a bad situation by cutting it short. The film she underwent this change for is a comedy called “American Ultra,” in which she plays the girlfriend of an unmotivated stoner played by Jesse Eisenberg. Uma Thurman also appears.
Because she would be playing a character whose main priority is not having gorgeous, healthy-looking hair, Kristen turned to professionals from the hair salon Maison de Cheveux from New Orleans to get this look earlier this year.
Then, she posed for photos that eventually went up on social media and, as they say, the rest is history.
Also in Paris these days are other huge names / fashionistas like Charlize Theron, who has been the face of Dior since forever, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson and Marion Cotillard, among others.
As usual, Kristen manages to steal the thunder – and all she had to do was just show up. To her credit, Charlize too looked stunning and was perhaps the most beautiful and best addressed celebrity on the red carpet.
