Despite his efforts to lose the extra weight and get back to health, Rob Kardashian has been packing on the pounds at an alarming rate. He is believed to be so depressed because of it that he even skipped sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West so as to not be included in the photos.

The second he landed at LAX in Los Angeles, Rob called up celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to tell him he wanted back on the weight loss program because he had finally realized that he needed to do something about his weight. He’s been AWOL ever since.

Hollywood Life claims to have it on very good authority that Rob is keeping a low profile because his mother and manager, Kris Jenner, is trying to arrange for him an appearance on The Biggest Loser, aka the show that sees overweight and obese contestants enter a race to lose the most weight.

All activities aimed to help them shift the excess weight are monitored by personal trainers, nutritionists, and other experts and, before the big reveal, finalists are also offered a makeover. However, the focus remains on the weight – particularly the weight loss and achieving it without compromising the health of the contestants.

According to the aforementioned e-zine, Rob too might be trying his hand out at losing the weight on the show, given that his efforts on his own (with our without a personal trainer) have not yielded any results. On the contrary, he seems to have gained even more weight in recent months.

Apparently, Kris knows just the right people to get Rob on the program.

“With Biggest Loser being on NBC, they share a lot of the same people who make decisions with E!, so Kris has been in meetings to see if it would work to have Rob on Season 16 this fall,” an insider says.

So the problem isn’t getting Rob on the program: the problem is Rob himself.

“Everyone is on board for this to happen except Rob, he still needs convincing. But most people involved in the talks think Kris will get her way and have him join the show,” another source shares.

Kris obviously doesn’t care that her own son is resistant to the idea of having his weight struggles documented for the millions of people at home, even though he’s long made it clear that he’s bothered even by the paparazzi and tabloid attention he gets for being a Kardashian.

Luckily, Rob can still count on Khloe for unconditional love and support, with another source revealing for the same media outlet that she’s been there for him ever since his weight problems took a turn for the worse.

“Out of all of the Kardashians, Khloe has been the most concerned and supportive of Rob. You would think she would be too preoccupied with French Montana, but she texts Rob inspirational messages all the time and has been reaching out to him nonstop since the whole wedding fiasco,” the tipster explains.
