This year on 9/11, as most US networks observed a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 2001, NBC aired an interview with Kardashian momager Kris Jenner.

A new report on Radar Online suggests that Kris believes she did nothing wrong by going on TV to promote the current season of her family’s reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, because it was up to NBC not to put her in such a position.

Accused of choosing ratings over a dignified moment, NBC and The Today Show come second in line when it comes to criticism for the 9/11 fiasco, because Kris is the one who’s mostly targeted, the report says.

She’s “furious” that she ended up taking the blame when it should have been the network and the show’s producers to be held accountable for the huge misstep.

“Kris is a big supporter of the troops and she’s very upset about this,” a source close to the Kardashians says for Radar Online.

“She had absolutely nothing to do with the decision to skip the national moment of silence on 9/11 and suddenly she’s in the middle of it and it’s her face being shown on TV while it’s being discussed,” adds the insider.

“She isn’t saying so publicly but she is furious. She’s angry the show put her in this position,” the spy goes on to mention.

As we also reported a couple of days ago, NBC immediately washed its hands of any wrongdoing shortly after it targeted online for being insensitive and desperate for ratings.

“The Today show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show,” a spokesperson for The Today Show said.

In other words, it was ok to have Jenner talk about her breast augmentation while the nation was remembering its dead.
