As it turns out, we weren’t the only ones who thought Kanye West’s official music video for “Bound 2,” starring Kim Kardashian, was tacky and bad. Kris Jenner, Kim’s mother and manager, also found it offensive but for entirely different reasons than ours.

The Daily Mail claims to have it on good authority that Kris literally blew a fuse when she saw the video for the first time, a couple of days before it was released. She hated it and thought it was a very bad career move, and she made sure Kim got an earful.

“Kris went ballistic, telling her daughter this is worse than the 2007 leaked tape that Kim made with her ex-boyfriend Ray J, because that was meant to stay private, while this was meant to go public. She started crying, saying how ashamed she was to see her daughter being ‘forced into something so degrading.’ She’s saying that Kim’s destroyed all of her credibility,” an insider is quoted as saying.

The report goes on to mention how even Kourtney told Kim that the video was “disgusting and disrespectful” and how the entire family is thinking of staging an intervention to get her to understand that she needs to step away from Kanye for a second and think about moves like this one on her own.

However, let’s focus on that quote for a moment. Kris never admitted to it but she is considered largely responsible for the “leak” of that tape which, say what you will about it, made Kim who she is, helping her transition from Paris Hilton’s BFF to a worldwide-known star.

We’re just going to assume that Kris handled the leak because that sounds like something she would do. If so, how could she oppose a video, as tacky as it might be, that doesn’t even show anything and that’s bound to get Kim even more media attention?

More importantly, how would she oppose the release of the video and tell Kim she’s “destroying all of her credibility” when, in fact, Kanye is legitimizing her by having her in his video, helping her become more than just a reality star? Would Kris risk infuriating her creative genius future son-in-law by so doing? We think not.

Shortly after the Mail ran the story, Kris issued a statement to say that it was “a complete fabrication and not true.” Apparently, the story is so false she had to say it twice.

“None of those statements are [true] and are completely made up. I am extremely proud of my daughter Kim, and also very proud of her fiancé Kanye West. He is extremely talented and incredibly artistic,” Kris says. Told you!
