As the premiere of season 7 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians is literally around the corner, Kris Jenner is doing some press to put to rest some of the most outrageous rumors now making the rounds online.

She took the time off work to sit down with Matt Lauer for an interview – you can see video for it below, embedded at the end of the article.

Kris, mother and manager of the entire Kardashian / Jenner clan, still insists that the family's reality show is not scripted and is as real as it gets.

Consequently, the drama we see on it is not manufactured in any way, she says, referring to Khloe's paternity scandal.

Khloe is, Kris underlines, Rob Kardashian's daughter, without a trace of doubt.

As for why she pushed her into getting a DNA test for verification, Kris says she wanted her daughter to be 100% sure she wasn't being lied to.

Kris' relationship with Khloe may seem tense at times, but she has nothing but love and understanding for her daughters, a feeling that she believes to be mutual.

“The girls sell magazines… it’s easy fodder. So the girls and I work together every single day, and we have an amazing relationship and… I know when to take that [momager] hat off and when to put it on. We have a nice relationship,” Kris says, shutting down reports that her daughters are thinking of firing her as manager.

Kris also denies having had more work done, as a recent teaser for the show seemed to indicate, including a photo of herself with an incredibly swollen lip.

“Actually, no cosmetic procedure whatsoever. I woke up, and you have to tune in because it’s unbelievable. It’s really crazy what happened, we’re still trying to figure it out,” she says.

While she has no qualms about opening her life to the cameras for her reality show, Kris seems determined to draw the line at that, refusing to comment on Kim's recent romance with rapper Kanye West.

“I stopped commenting about the details in my kids’ friendships and relationships, because I get nothing but in trouble. He’s great and she seems happy,” she says.

Check out the interview – it's almost funny how Matt Lauer goes out of his way to tell Kris he's way too qualified / good to be conducting it.
