Earlier this week, word got out in the tabloids that Kris Humphries was weighing in his legal options and planned to sue Kim Kardashian for the way the new season of her reality show would portray him. As it turns out, far be the thought from Kris.

With the second season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York set to debut tonight, there’s been a lot of speculation in recent weeks on how much it would details the breakup of Kim’s marriage to Kris.

Admittedly, Kim had long made sure the show would portray him as “villain” and herself as “victim,” which is why Kris wanted to sue her for $10 million (€7.4 million), to make sure she wouldn’t tarnish his reputation in her attempt to save face.

Gossip Cop informs that there’s no truth to the initial report, with a source close to Kris calling the alleged lawsuit “completely false.”

At the same time, TMZ points out that Kris doesn’t even have grounds for a lawsuit, even if the show ends up portraying him as the sole responsible for the marriage breaking apart.

The moment he agreed to be on the show and signed on the dotted line, he lost the right to complain about the light it presented him in.

“According to our sources, Kris is worried that the show will make him look worse than he really is... but he understands he has no control of it,” the celebrity e-zine writes.

“Humphries knew quite well he was being filmed for a reality show, so suing because of the ‘inflammatory’ clips (which include him passing gas in sister-in-law Kourtney‘s face) is also not feasible,” Gossip Cop also writes.

In other words, Kris will take it in strides: if Kim really has editorial control over the footage that goes into her shows and she chooses to paint Kris as the villain, so be it.
