Kris Humphries Is 'Livid' Over GMA Grilling on Kim Kardashian

If you found Kris Humphries' first interview on his divorce from Kim Kardashian painfully awkward in his attempt to not talk about Kim, there's a good reason for it: apparently, he thought the GMA sit-down would be all about his career.

As we also informed you earlier today, Kris ended the week with an appearance on Good Morning America, billed the first time he'd talk about Kim Kardashian since she filed for divorce a while ago.

Oddly enough, Kris and his mother, who accompanied him on the show, made extra efforts to talk about anything but Kim and the divorce.

TMZ has learned that this came to be because he was told the GMA sit-down would revolve around his career, which is now on hold because of the NBA lockdown and which has taken a serious hit with the backlash after the divorce.

“Kris Humphries is telling people he felt ambushed by Good Morning America – claiming he was put under the impression the interview was NOT going to focus on his split from Kim Kardashian,” the e-zine writes.

As expected, GMA producers are firing back, saying there were “no ground rules” set in advance about the interview.

“Sources close to Kris tell TMZ, the NBA player claims he knew he would be asked about the divorce during the sit-down, but he didn't expect to be grilled like a cheeseburger,” TMZ further says.

Given the way the interview turned out, Kris is fuming.

“During the interview, Kris appears VERY uncomfortable as he's hit with question after question about Kim... and things got downright awkward when interviewer Josh Elliot asked Kris' mother about the relationship,” TMZ writes.

“We're told Kris is saying he only agreed to do the interview to promote his charity work and to support his mother's cooking segment on the show and he's livid about the way it turned out,” adds the same media outlet.
