If one were to comprise a list of the world's most unpleasantly surprised people, Kris Humphries would probably rank at the top: though reports online have been saying for weeks he and wife of 72 days Kim Kardashian were headed towards divorce, he claims to have known nothing of it.

informed you hours ago, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing October 31, 2011 as the date of separation.
In a statement released on the state of her marriage, she says the decision wasn't an easy one for her, which is why she took her time in making it.
If she did, Kris tells
TMZ in a statement, she certainly didn't bother to let him know, because he had no idea she was going to file the papers to ask for a termination of their marriage.
Moreover, he's hoping there's still something he can do to make the marriage work, even if Kim seems to have already made up her mind about it.
“I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents,” Kris says in a brief statement to the aforementioned media outlet.
“I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce... I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work,” Kris further says.
As we also noted a short while ago, word that Kim and Kris were on the verge of divorce has been around for weeks.
They were hardly back from their short honeymoon that the tabloids were already saying they were fighting like crazy and not able to be in the same room for long.
Until the divorce was official, many still believed these were stories made up by the tabs to sell copies, or even planted by the Kardashian clan to drum up interest in their reality show and various other business ventures.
Apparently, Kris thought so too.
