Fatshark has confirmed that its Krater action role-playing game will receive a brand new update later this month, which will finally bring the long-awaited cooperative mode to the dungeon crawler, not to mention a variety of other improvements.

Krater appeared this summer and delivered a pretty decent role-playing experience, tasking players with leading teams of explorers in a lush post-apocalyptic environment.

Sadly, while the game had a great premise, it also had plenty of bugs and missing features, like the promised cooperative mode.

Now, developer Fatshark has finally confirmed that it’s going to release the long-awaited co-op mechanic, as well as an array of other improvements, in a free update that’s set to arrive on the Steam digital distribution service on October 23.

Lots of new content, maps, songs for the soundtrack, and an improved user interface will also be included in the major update, so the future is looking bright for the independent RPG.
