We all know how Kim Kardashian's “fairytale” marriage to Kris Humphries ended: divorce after just 72 days. The drama leading up to that played out on her reality show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which aired the final episode of season 2 last night.

Below is one of the most emotionally-charged moments of the season finale.

As it must be common knowledge by now, Kim and Kris got married in August, in what was the most eccentric, flashy and allegedly profitable wedding of the year 2011.

She filed for divorce 72 days later, among claims that she'd staged the entire thing to make money and, of course, have something to show on her reality series.

The video below is meant to convince skeptics that this wasn't the case: it shows a rather upset Kim telling sister Kourtney and her partner Scott that she knows her marriage is over, but that she doesn't have it in her yet to let Kris know as well.

“It's hard for me. He's a good heart, he's a Christian – everything on paper I want in someone, but for some reason, my heart isn't connecting,” Kim tells her sister, asking for her and the family's support.

“I feel awful that I made him move out here and change his whole life. I feel sad, I feel bad for the guy. He feel in love with me and I fell in love with him and now all my feelings have changed,” she bawls.

Kim even shows remorse at putting together what was meant to be the “wedding of the decade” and for deceiving her millions of fans.

“I invited all these people to this huge wedding and flew everyone out, wasted everyone's time and everyone's money – everyone's everything – and I feel bad! At 30 years old, I thought I'd be married with kids and I'm not. I failed at this. People change their minds, people make mistakes,” she says.

Were it not for allegations that this too is just a ploy to get people's sympathy, one might actually believe that Kim is really devastated by the realization that her marriage is officially over after such a short time.

On the season finale, she decides she'll talk to Kris and let him know how she feels about moving in together and basically continuing as an item.

She also notes that, while she usually allows the camera in every aspect of her life, she wants the conversation with Kris to take place behind doors.

A few days after the second season of show wrapped, she filed for divorce. Tabloids still say Kris was blindsided by her filing the papers, so it could be that she never really got to have the talk with him.
