14 DAY TRIAL // Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have been together for 7 years, but it’s just now that they’re decided to get married. Despite previous reports saying they will be tying the knot in a ceremony that will take place in Mexico, they have been spotted scouting for locations in Santa Barbara.
The entire Kardashian – Jenner family is now in Thailand, on a vacation for which E! is footing the bill because all the footage shot there will be included on the new season of the Klan’s hit reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Kourtney and Scott also joined them until Sunday when they flew back to the US. According to the Daily Mail, they had more pressing business back home, waiting for them: so, on Monday, they got down to it.
“[They] checked out possible venues for their nuptials on Monday in Santa Barbara. Leaving their two children at home, the reality TV stars are thought to have looked around The Four Seasons Coral Casino, Beach and Cabana Club as well as the exclusive San Ysidro Ranch when they were spotted in the area,” the British tab says.
Previous reports saying that Kourtney had finally accepted one of Scott’s many marriage proposals, also said that they had settled for Mexico as their wedding destination, as they didn’t want the ceremony to be that big a deal.
Because Kim had flown into a temper when she found out that Kourtney too wanted to get married this year, perhaps even before her (Kim will be tying the knot with Kanye West in May), Kourtney was said to be eyeing an intimate ceremony, somewhere remote, where she would be able to get away from the paparazzi.
The same reports said that she had already chosen her wedding gown, a gorgeous design by Vera Wang and that she and Scott would get their wedding bands from Lorraine Schwartz, jewelry designer to the stars but also a close friend of the family.
Family and friends would be flown over by private jet for an entire weekend, with the bride and groom covering all the expenses at the end. The report didn’t say whether the two would want their wedding documented by the reality TV cameras and turned into a special like Kim’s or Kourtney’s.
If they’re now looking for wedding locations in Santa Barbara, this probably means the Mexico resort is no longer a viable option. This may also mean that the other details reported previously are out of the question, including the estimated date.
