14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been years now that Kourtney Kardashian has been keeping fans guessing about her plans with Scott Disick, but no more: the two got engaged in Paris during a very romantic break, it has emerged.
The report comes from Radar Online and Hollywood Life, both of which cite mostly unnamed insiders saying Scott popped the question in the City of Love, having finally decided to take this huge leap into marriage.
Fans of the Kardashians’ reality show must know that the reason the two did not get married until now, even though they have two children together, is because neither wanted the extra commitment or, for that matter, believed it would add anything to their romance.
“We’re all so thrilled they’ve finally decided to get engaged. We’re all so fond of Kourtney, and we wish them a long, happy marriage,” Scott’s aunt, Laurie Disick, is quoted as saying.
Apparently, Scott has been planning this for a very long time, and he knew Paris would be just the place to propose.
He was first seen shopping for an engagement ring in October, at Levinson Jewelers in Fort Lauderdale.
“Scott’s actually been planning to propose for a while, but he just wasn’t sure when the moment would be right,” an insider is quoted as saying.
“[Kourtney] absolutely adores Paris, so even though they were doing double-duty there by filming scenes for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, just being in the City of Light helped put Kourtney in the right frame of mind when Scott made his move,” the tipster further says of the proposal.
For the time being, no other details are available, and an official confirmation is still pending. However, word has it that Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries would seem like a trifle compared to what Kourtney and Scott are preparing.
