In the much mediated Kardashian special on Oprah, Kris Jenner made it a point of saying that she was not “pimping out” her daughters, but insisted that she would do whatever she can to make the family richer. Her plans as regards granddaughter Penelope do not bode well with Penelope's mother, it has emerged.
Sources close to the family tell Radar Online
that Kris and Kourtney have been fighting like crazy even before the baby, Kourtney's second with partner Scott Disick, was born.
It would seem that Kris would like to start selling pictures of the baby to whoever might be interested in buying them, even going over Kourtney's head on this. She's been setting up deals for months and didn't even bother to tell the two.
On the other hand, Kourtney and Scott have agreed to have just one spread out for the time being, and then take some time out of the spotlight so that they can properly enjoy the experience of being parents again.
“Kris immediately started trying to make money off the baby, literally from the moment she was conceived!” an insider says for the celebrity publication.
“Kourtney was already getting annoyed during her pregnancy because her mom talked nonstop about branding girly things for the baby. And since the birth Kris has stepped it up with her money making ideas,” adds the spy.
At one point, things got so bad between the two, and Kris was getting so out of control that even Scott stepped in to tell her off.
“Even Scott stepped in and told Kris to back off, he actually told her they needed time to enjoy their baby before they share her with the world. But Kris was relentless and started taking photos with the intent to sell them, and the whole family knew it,” the insider explains.
“The last straw was when Kris wanted to take pictures of the baby during the birth, while she was coming out! Scott drew the line there, he said absolutely not!” adds the spy.
As per the same insider, even though they're normally very willing to open up for the cameras if there's profit to be made from it, Scott and Kourney don't want people to think they consider their daughter “some money making tool.”
“They have a deal in place with a magazine to run the first photos of Penelope, but after that they want a little privacy for her,” the tipster goes on to say.
