Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick announced they were expecting a second child in November last year. In recent weeks, there's been a lot of talk about how they were going to have a girl – so they're confirming it in a statement to E! Online.

“We feel so blessed to be having a little girl and to be able to share this new experience with Mason,” the happy couple says in the statement.

Mason is their first child, a gorgeous and very stylish little boy who turned 2 in December last year.

As noted above, confirmation of the pregnancy came in November and was a shock for all fans of the Kardashians' reality series.

Usually, this would happen after months of speculation, but this wasn't the case here.

This isn't to say the news wasn't a happy one. Kourtney and Scott were particularly thrilled to be adding another member to their family even if, as their fans must know, they still have certain issues pending.

“Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child. [We're] thrilled to be expanding the love in our family,” Kourtney said, as we also reported at the time.

She was, by then, about 9 weeks into the pregnancy, but she felt confident enough in it to announce it to the world before the 3-month threshold.

“Now I’m nine weeks along. You’re supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident,” she said.

“It wasn’t like we weren’t trying. We kind of just said, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’ll be’,” Scott added, when asked whether they had planned the second pregnancy or not.

A few weeks ago, rumors started to make the rounds online that Kourtney was having a baby girl, but, until now, she's kept mum on them.

The baby is due in late spring and, for the time being, there's still no word on whether the pregnancy has influenced Kourtney and Scott in any way in terms of getting married.
