Kororaa 15.1 has been released. This is the first update to the latest major release, coming one month after Kororaa 15 was made available. It fixes some of the major shortcomings and bugs, and also arrives with a few updated packages.

Kororaa is based on Fedora 15 and offers GNOME 3 as well as KDE 4 as desktop options.

"The second release of Kororaa 15 (codename “Squirt”) has been released. Version 15.1 is available for download, in 32 and 64 bit with KDE 4.6 and GNOME 3," the announcement said. "This release includes a number of fixes and enhancements."

Here's what's new in Kororaa 15.1

· A KDE crash while in live mode has been fixed; · A Kdenlive bug which prevented it from working at all has been fixed; · A KPackagekit crash bug, which also only showed up in live mode, has been fixed; · There is the possibility of logging in automatically and bypassing the login screen; · Users can now disable the screensaver and the lock screen, while in live mode; · The repository for Google Talk Plugin has been added; · Skype-helper meta-package installs Skype dependencies, but not Skype itself; · More GNOME Shell themes are now included; · The Synaptic package manager has been removed; · Gloobus preview has been removed; · GNOME Appearance Properties link has been removed; · Firefox 7 is now included, replacing Firefox 6; · Openshot 1.4 is now included.

There is the possibility of installing Flash Player, via the flash-player-helper package. You can remove it afterwards by removing the flash-plugin package.

Much of the fixes and updates have been pushed to those already running Kororaa 15, so there's no need to install anything. Many of the fixes are for the live version, so if you use that, you should grab the updated ISOs.
