Kororaa 14, codenamed Nemo, is a Fedora 14 remix that aims to improve usability and the "out-of-the-box" experience. It comes in KDE and GNOME flavours and defaults to packages most people will want to use, like Firefox, VLC and so on. Another tweak is an easy way of installing graphic card drivers and the Flash plugin.

"Kororaa 14 (Nemo) final been released for download, in 32 and 64 bit with KDE and GNOME. This version is recommended for all new installs, however existing Beta 6 users need not reinstall," Chris Smart announced.

"Given that there were no major bugs in Beta 6, this month’s update brings the first final release. Work will now begin on a beta 15 Fedora Remix," he added.

Kororaa relies on its Fedora source for most packages, but switches things around in some areas to make sure that new users will have as little customizing to do as possible.

The final version of Kororaa 14 comes with KDE 4.6.3, the latest stable version. Firefox 4 is bundled in both the GNOME and KDE versions, with the latter using the Oxygen theme for better integration.

The KDE version gets the most changes, apart from the Firefox browser, GIMP is used instead of Krita and VLC replaces DragonPlayer. The LibreOffice suite is also the default office suite for both the GNOME and the KDE environments.

Kororaa also aims to have just one program for any task, for simplicity, enabling users to know exactly what to use and when. Of course, users can easily install alternative packages if they have different favorite programs.

Proprietary graphic card drivers are not installed by default, but users can get them with just a couple of clicks, for both NVIDIA and ATI/AMD cards. What's more, the Adobe Flash plugin for Firefox can be installed in the same way.
