The Korea Linux Forum 2012, a new Linux event in Asia Pacific that brings together developers, system administrators, users, community managers, and industry experts, has started in Seul and it will end on October 12th.

The event is organized by The Linux Foundation and its purpose is to strengthen the relationship between South Korea and the global Linux development community.

The Korea Linux Forum takes place at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul and a lot of people have announced their participation, including software developers, IT professionals, C-Level executives, industry experts (Linus Torvalds for example), community managers, and even end users.

The forum will include presentations, workshops with core Linux kernel maintainers and developers, keynotes, and a Tizen mini-summit.

Moreover, The Linux Foundation will be offering training courses on Linux Performance Tuning, Open Source License Compliance, and on Understanding the Open Source Development Model.
