The company has recalled some of the fittings due to leaking

Leaks in water cooling systems wouldn't be so relevant if electronics didn't tend to burn and sizzle whenever they got wet. Keeping that in mind, Koolance is recalling some of its QD2 series fittings.

Fittings, of the quick disconnect or other types, have to be very carefully designed because they are the ones that make sure water gets from reservoirs to pumps and from pumps to water blocks without spilling.

Alas, the QD2-F06-P, QD2-F06X10 and QD2-FG4 fittings from Koolance leak.

Not much. Some might not leak at all actually, but Koolance isn't taking any chances. It found the possibility that there could be leaking issues so it is recalling all of the ones sold between July and September 2013.

Customers have to check the batch number on the fitting and packaging. If they are subject to the recall, they need to submit an RMA request and get a new one free of charge, as inventory allows.
