AT New Media has made an agreement with Ben Cusack, the creator of the award-winning internet game KooZac to make a mobile phone version of it. For this to come true, it has also reached a deal with mobile game publisher Uclick, which will help them distribute the new version on handsets everywhere.

KooZac has won in the 2007 the Channel 4 Award for "Best Interactive Viral". Moreover, it has also managed to place itself among the finalists of the Mobile Gaming Awards 2007. This is one of the most addictive games ever created, as it managed to gather almost half a million players since its release.

Uclick will make efforts in adapting the game as much as possible for offering it for use in a wide range of gaming environments, such as web, download games and mobile. KooZac is actually a puzzle game which manages to combine "Tetris" and "Sudoku" into one new and fresh concept. It aims highly at the logics and mathematical analysis of the player, which makes it enjoyable especially for a specific target.

"We are very pleased to have secured the license for KooZac and look forward to creating more and more new versions of the game, to satisfy the demand from existing KooZac fans and to introduce this compelling game to more and more people", commented Chris Pizey, Chief Executive Officer of Uclick on the release of the game.

Moreover, Paul Comben, CEO of AT New Media declared that "we are negotiating with potential licensees to launch the game on other platforms, including the leading consoles and handheld games devices", in concern with future plans for this game.

When a game concept is so simple but, at the same time, so challenging and appreciated, why not let everybody enjoy it? No words on the date when the mobile phone version of the game will be available or on the markets it will be hitting.
