Video game publisher Konami has announced that Kohei Uchimura, who is currently an employee of the Sports & Life Co. division of the company, has managed to become the Gold medal winner at the 2012 London Olympic Games in the individual men’s all-around gymnastics competition.

Kohei Uchimura has won three Silver medals at the Olympics before 2012 and he has also managed to get nine medals at the World Championships.

Another two gymnasts that are employees of Konami are competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games: Koji Yamamuro and Yusuke Tanaka.

Another company man, Takuro Fujii, is set to take part in the 4 x 100 meters Medley Men Race.

Despite its real-world Olympic presence, the publisher has no games linked to the competition, with SEGA taking the rights to the event in the virtual space, which it used for both an official simulation game and in order to send Mario & Sonic to their own version of the Olympics.
