Nothing to reveal just yet

The PlayStation 3 has had a troubled life up until now. As it was one of the last current-generation consoles to appear, it left a wide amount of time for the Xbox 360 to dictate the rules by which gamers play video games these days.

One important aspect are achievements, which Sony tried to replicate with the trophy system for its console. But even though most of the titles contain them, there are quite a few that skipped them altogether. One such example is Konami's blockbuster Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots title, which managed to sell quite a lot of copies.

This fact, obviously, generated quite a lot of controversy, with many fans claiming to want something to prove that they endured Hideo Kojima's magnum opus. But the Japanese company hears your pain, gamers, as it has recently declared in a podcast centered on trophies.

“Just to address one issue that we've been getting a lot of comments about. And this is, of course, about Trophies,” a Konami representative said in a recent podcast. “I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we're not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It's just that we can't say anything just yet.”

The company then revealed that, when a plan regarding them would be made, it would be announced: “But as soon as we have something to say, we will announce it. So, if we can just ask everyone to be patient, we will give you an answer. But right now we can't say anything. So we just ask for everyone's understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and we'll let you know.”

Most of the statement sounded like stalling, but don't forget that Konami and Kojima Productions are hard at work creating two new MGS titles, one multi platform, subtitled Rising, and one exclusive to the PSP, subtitled Peace Walker, meaning that MGS 4 trophies aren't that important just yet.
