Publisher Konami has offered a slew of new details linked to Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS, the football simulation titles that is set to take full advantage of the 3D gaming capabilities of the new Nintendo handheld.

Konami says that its new version of the football game is set to deliver “immersion” by using the 3D technology of the new handheld, with a new, active, camera that is always centered on the players, following his every movement on the pitch and dynamically following the action.

The gamer will always feel like he is the main player on the pitch, with the 3D medium allowing him to see the exact positions of his team maters and of those who oppose him and judge what is the best way to score a goal.

Konami says that the entire football experience will be more instinctive because of 3D and that the game will allow for more complex attack and defend situations.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 for the 3DS will use the UEFA Champions League license and will allow gamers to be a part of the biggest football competition in the world.

Gamers also have access to the Master League mode, where they can create a team from nothing and then lead it to dominate both the domestic league they choose and international competitions.

The 3DS, with its glasses-free three-dimensional gaming capabilities, will be launched on February 26 in Japan, on March 25 in Europe and three days later in North America, with the prices ranging from 249.99 to the equivalent of 300 dollars.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 does not currently have a clear launch date, but Konami will probably wait until the 3DS is out in all territories before launching its game.

Gamers who are interested in simulated football can enjoy PES 2011 now on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, the PC, the PlayStation Portable and the PS2.
