Konami Lying About Metal Gear Solid 4 Exclusivity?

I wanna know if there will be a MGS 4 version for PC ????

Though MGS 1 and 2 have been released for pc. But why not MGS 3? Yep i don't know, so i don't think it would be released on pc neither. Tho i believe the X360 release is possible.

you can play MGS3 on pc via emulator that is u can even play it in higher graphics than on ps2.

this Sony forbiddened us to play this famous game for a commercial purposes so, i hated this game and i dont care anymore if it will be on xbox 360 or anyshit else

man then for xbox 360 your gonna need xbox live and your gonna need to pay for that...

If mgs4 is released for Computer it will need a super CD and a harddrive that can hold more than 30gb or something and you'll need a computer with probaly 6+gb of ram to run it and a graphics card like a brand new one with 1g of graphics
and probaly still wont be enough.

well u r not talking about crysis 2 and besides the graphics that is employed in MGS 4 would not need a hardware more than dual core and 2 gb of ram and 8 series nvidia.

@Zach Seriously? Do you think that the PS3 is such a "super machine" that only it can play MGS 4? I think either you've never done 'pc gaming' or have been living under a rock for the last few years, or both.

Super CD? We already have digital downloads, Blu-ray drives (read and/or write) are options available for PC, even most entertainment laptops have them. I don't think the game is that huge anyway. 'Big' PC games like Modern Warfare 2 (essentially a PC port of an XBOX360/PS3 game) and Crysis (which is even most graphics intense and loaded than MGS 4 btw) take up ONLY 11 and 12 GB respectively (about 3 normal DVDs)

EVEN if MGS 4 needed 30 GB of space on a PC, what is 30 GB in a world of 1 TB hard disks? 30 GB is practically nothing. 320 GB or 500 GB hard disks on laptops is not uncommon, and most desktops have space for 3-4 HDD/SSD. Laptops like the HP Elitebook enable you to swap out the optical drive for a 2nd HDD (so 1 TB on a laptop is not impossible)

Not that I enjoy Crysis but it makes for a good benchmark seeing it's one of the heavier PC titles that is more taxing on system resources. It runs fine with medium settings on my laptop with 4 GB of RAM and 512 MB Nvidia Quadro graphics.

And FYI, the PS3 gives the impression that it's "powerful and smooth" because most settings are set to low or lowest, there are no anti-aliasing options available (jagged edges anyone?!) and most games are 720p or less, but uprezzed to 1080p or whatever your TV screen is.

Like playing games on a big screen like you would on a console? There is this thing on PC's called the HDMI port...

sorry to kick you off your high horse but....zach is actually right about it being around 30GB.
it's actually 20GB more, totaling just under 50GB. There is at least 4 GB of music in the game both soundtrack and in the games built in ipod. plus the dialogue, foley, weapons, sound fx and impulse response's for each environment is probably around 6GB. There are at least 3 hours of cutscenes throughout the game which could amount to around 10-12 GB or more considering that it is running at least 720p. Plus you also need to consider the online and all of it's features which need separate installation from the main game. And thats without having mentioned level design, in game physics/movement and character design. check out the article below. read it and weep at your pathological view on something you obviously know very little about:

PC obviously can run it better. Not to mention PS3 doesn't even have vsync so you get tearing, also I think PS3 only goes up to 30 fps, PC games are generally expected to go up to 60 fps and with vsync so there is no tearing, as well as having the anti-aliasing and usually anisotropic filtering options. Additionally I'd imagine HDR or Bloom would be available as options too.

Playing off of the hard drive is always faster, especially with SSDs. Even if the game is on dual layer discs, installing off of even 5 discs won't matter because once it's on the drive you never need discs again. Many PC games like WOW and eventually Starcraft II are going to be well over 30 gigs after expansions. Modded games like Fallout and Oblivion generally also top those disc sizes once all the extra content is added.

Consoles are generally for kiddies or people that just don't understand computers. Similar to how people buy Macs because they don't understand technology. If you know what you're doing PCs are always cheaper and perform better.

I Hate to tell you pc lovers this but people look down on pc gamers, but you'll never get the true gaming experience with out the ps3 the pc is just way too buggie and the controls are not half as good as the ps3 and even in the game otacon brags about the game being on a double layer blu-ray disc so It's only a ps3 exclusive that means in won't be available for xbox 360 or pc because its just not made for those piece of junk Microsoft systems.

Yes you are right Pw3rer.zach dont know anything about pc.zach all games in console are made by pc.I run crysis all in high setting.So it will be easy for me to run MGS 4 on my super pc.

I agree with you all that MGS 4 would be relatively easy to play on most modern pc systems but i'm gonna have to contradict u on the fact that not all console games are made on pc. they are technically made on Modified Developer consoles so that they dont have to worry bout porting it to console. FYI.

i think that they should make a new MGS with Raiden and otocan and solid snake the MGS4 is awsome i think becouse they dont have the octo camo in the 1 ,2, 3, MGS. its so awsome and i will kill any one at it, i beat every one in my familey and online

I wish I could play Metal Gear Solid 4 on PC too, because I can't afford a Playstation 3
