Konami Digital Entertainment has announced today that their former executive vice president, Tomohiro Uesugi, has now become president of the division.

We will focus on our talent and iconic brands as we continue to provide innovative products for even deeper and more enjoyable experiences to our customers," Uesugi stated.

Tomohiro Uesugi has earned a reputation as transformational leader with a diverse working experience, including human resources, finance, consulting, planning and operations management, and this varied experience will offer a unique perspective to Konami, driving the company's efforts further.

Uesugi joined Konami in 2013, after serving as the executive vice president of Sanyo North America Corporation, a regional subsidiary of the global electronics manufacturer. His background includes financial advisory at KPMG Azsa and working in Sumitomo Trust & Banking's real estate division.

Konami Digital Entertainment is the US-based arm of Konami Japan, a lead developer of electronic entertainment properties, with an impressive track record and several popular franchises under their belt, including Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, DanceDanceRevolution, Contra and Castlevania.

Tomohiro Uesugi is replacing the current president, Tomoyuki Tsuboi, who will be returning to Japan in order to join Konami's financial division.
