The Japanese based developer, Konami, has decided to delay the release of their upcoming title Castelevania: Portrait of Ruin. By the looks of it, the game was
pushed because some last minute features will be implemented.

The game was due to come out this year, November 16 in Japan, December 5 in the US and February 23, 2007 in Europe. According to Konami, all the release dates for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin have been pushed until February 2007.

Konami Europe representatives said that the development team will use this extra time to add some new features, like online spell-trading, and also a shop system for selling and trading Portrait of Ruin related items over the Internet. Konami also plans to introduce a new two player mode, playable trough the Wi-Fi, where players can cooperate to fight against the bosses present at the end of every level of the game.

Gamers who will try out the game when it comes out on the Nintendo DS will see that they can play with two characters: Jonathan Morris-a vampire hunter and a sorceress named Charlotte Aulin. The two are childhood heroes, descendent from other heroes of the Castlevania series. The two characters can join forces and attack enemies in tandem.
