Kojima Productions is a very busy developer but it seems that there might be more projects in development than previously thought, with the leader of the company offering a little information on the still secret Project Ogre.

Speaking as part of a bigger interview with the United Kingdom based official PlayStation Magazine, Hideo Kojima said, “I can’t really say too much about that project yet, but it’s a very subdued experience. It’s a little bit different to what I’ve done up until now. On the surface it will look similar, but once you get into it, it will be a different experience – and I’m hoping people look forward to that.”

He added, “The Ogre project is going to take a lot of time, so I want to produce some other things on the side, like I’m doing with Rising. So while I’m working on Ogre there might be a couple of other projects going on at the same time.”

Kojima Productions is at the moment working on Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which will feature Raiden as the main character, and also planning to launch a version of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater on the Nintendo 3DS.

A Zone of the Enders Collection in High Definition will also launch in the near future and Kojima also suggested that a new game in the same universe is a possibility.

Hideo Kojima himself is not directly working on any of these projects, although he is supervising them all, which suggests that Project Ogre is the game that is currently getting his full attention.

Recently the well-known developer has said that he is no longer interested in ending the Metal Gear Solid series and that demand from the player base means that, in the near future, he might need to actually engage with it again and personally lead the creation of Metal Gear Solid 5.
