While many will say it's all bogus, those stuck with PS3 and no titles will surely agree

Chris Kohler of Wired has recently put together the history of Sony's Lost Exclusive titles, such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Assassin's Creed, Devil May Cry IV, Virtua Fighter 5, and many others that fit the category. No one wants to say that Sony's losing more and more with every day that goes by, but the reality is just that. Kohler's ever pertinent observations reveal every aspect of concern. Here's just a small excerpt:

"What's Next? -- The two major remaining third-party exclusives for PlayStation 3 are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. Konami has certainly never been resistant to putting Metal Gear titles on different hardware; witness Twin Snakes on GameCube and Substance on Xbox. And Microsoft is likely gunning hard for the game. Also, Konami probably prefers making money to losing truckloads of it. All things considered, I'm pretty sure it's already a done deal, given the fact that we hear very credible rumors about it once a week or so."

While some will say that Chris makes a big fuss out of nothing, others who are stuck with a PS3 console and no solid titles will definitely agree. Now, here's what Wolfgang writes over at Evil Avatar, as an example:

"I think exclusives do matter. I have a dual income with no kids right now making over 100k and do not feel comfortable dropping $600 on the PS3 with nothing to play that can't be found on the 360.

All that needs to be said is: $660 = PS3 + GTA $660 = 360 Elite + GTA + H3 + CoD 4 $660 = 360 Prem + GTA + H3 + CoD4 + Madden 08 + GRAW 1

These are gaming machines and you need to show me my dollars will be put to use.

Then again I am a gamer. I know plenty of people who have bought PS3s because well... it is a Playstation!"

That's right. When people say PlayStation, it's almost like turning on a switch in people's brains or something, but everyone can agree that it's the PSone and PS2 that set these standards.

Looks like a fairly sweet deal on the 360 with any title(s) included. Sure, the PS3 sports that Cell Processor that is said to be even smarter than you are, but in the gaming market, it all comes down to the fun you have with a machine's respective titles and since (this is just an example) three of EA's football titles are said to run smoother and faster on the 360, that leaves what?....Better loading times for the PS3 versions...?
