Kohl's has decided to go green and follow the same strategy adopted by other eco-conscious major brands like IKEA. The major company wants to install charging stations for electric vehicles in the parking lots of 33 stores, located in 11 states.

Kohl's counts on the support offered by Coulomb and ECOtality. Both suppliers have scaled efforts to boost America's EV infrastructure. Coulomb is expected to provide EV chargers for 19 stores, GreenBiz informs.

At the same time, ECOtality will bring a series of Blink chargers to 14 Kohl stores. All in all, customers shopping in 33 stores located in New York, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Maryland, California, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and Florida will be able to recharge their electric vehicles for free.

Just like IKEA, a green brand installing 30 Blink chargers in the parking lots of nine of its stores, Kohl's newly-announced project is part of its sustainability goals.

Lowe's is trying to implement the same changes while Walgreens is struggling to exceed IKEA's performance, since it has announced its eagerness to come up with charging stations for 800 stores all across the US.
