Mobile phone users in the UK can now purchase a new 4G LTE-enabled smartphone that is being sold completely unlocked, in the form of Kogan Agora 4G.

The handset has been released in the country courtesy of a partnership between Kogan and Benq, and is now available for purchase through the mobile phone maker’s website.

As TNW notes, the handset was made official in Australia last week, and comes to the UK with the same hardware specs and capabilities announced for it at the time.

In fact, Kogan itself notes on the phone’s listing page that users will be buying the international version of Kogan Agora 4G.

The smartphone features a price tag of £149 ($251/€187), yet users will also have to pay for delivery, as well as VAT and import fees, it seems.

The new handset arrives on the market as a 4G LTE-enabled flavor of the Kogan Agora that was launched in September last year.

Thus, those who will purchase it will enjoy a 5-inch IPS LCD HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touchscreen display on this mobile phone, along with a 1.2GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor complemented by Adreno 305 graphics.

The new Kogan Agora 4G also arrives on shelves with 1GB of RAM inside, which should ensure pretty decent performance capabilities for a mid-range device.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of internal memory.

The handset features an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as a 1.3MP front camera, which will enable users to snap selfies and to make video calls while on the go.

In addition to the aforementioned support for 4G LTE networks, the new device also arrives on shelves with HSDPA, HSUPA connectivity, as well as with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB capabilities.

Kogan Agora 4G measures 143 x 73 x 9mm and weighs 135 grams. The smartphone runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right from the start. Moreover, it is powered by a 2500mAh battery, which should be able to provide users with a full day of usage time on a single charge.

“Meet the Kogan Agora 4G. With a stunningly sharp 5” HD display, quad-core processor, superior-quality 8MP BSI camera and Android 4.4 KitKat, this phone takes awesome to a whole new level,” the mobile phone maker notes on its website.
