Summer is close, and Kodak thought it would be a good idea to present its new collection, featuring cameras which are smaller than a pack of cards, more advanced and easier to use. The models V550 and V530 are fitted with 5 megapixel sensors (2690 x 1994 pixeli) which will allow users to print images as large as 20 x 30 inches.
Both cameras seem to be designed around the principle
of simplicity, but that doesn't mean the performances are poorer. The models include KODAK EASYSHARE Photo Frame Dock 2, a solution which allows the quick transfer of photos to a computer and the recharging of the battery. Moreover, KODAK EASYSHARE Photo Frame Dock 2 allows running slideshows with the help of the high resolution LCD.
The latest studies prove that half of the electronics sold in the United States are purchased by women, and Kodak redesigns its models to attract even the most demanding ladies. Besides the design aspects, both cameras are able to record 80 minutes of TV quality movies and to make quality prints.
The cameras include image stabilizing sensors and a Schneider-Kreuznach C-VARIOGON 3X optical zoom, which is completed by a 4X digital one. The images can be previewed on the 2.5 inch display of the V550 model and on the V530's 2 inch display.
The camera's 21 preset modes, five white balance and flash settings make photography a piece of cake (you still need to know some basics though). V550 will cost $399 and will be available starting from June and V530 will have a price tag of $349 and will be launched in July.
