After announcing the device in June, Kodak has succeeded to ship the first WiFi digital camera, which means that, in a few days, the end-users will be able to purchase the famous model.
Kodak EasyShare-One, with a price tag of $599, has a resolution of 4MP, a 3x optical
zoom and is able to store up to 1,500 images. The rotating 3 inch LCD is ideal for visualization of the images, that can be sent directly to the inbox or shared on the Internet, the only condition being that the user is within a hotspot's range.
Kodak also announced a partnership with T-Mobile in the US. For $4.99 dollars a month, users will be able to connect to any of the 6,000 of the companies' hot spots to transmit an unlimited number of pictures.
Similar partnerships were signed with T-Com (in Germany and in the UK) and with Telstra (in Australia).
Kodak has also introduced compatible printers for the new camera, which means that users will be able to send the images directly to the printing devices. Nikon launched last month its Nikon P1, that also has wireless capabilities, but only for sending data to the PC.
