Kodak, the imaging innovator, has just announced the availability of its Android printing solution, KODAK Pick Flick.

The application enables users with Android devices to print their photos directly to their wireless KODAK All-in-One Printer.

Unfortunately, those who think of installing the application to print documents will probably be disappointed to find that this feature is not yet available with KODAK Pick Flick.

Furthermore, it appears that the printing solution does not offer users the possibility to show the most recent photos first, which makes the search process a pain for those who have hundreds or thousands of pictures stored on their Android devices.

Kodak is committed to make printing easy and more accessible in today’s mobile and connected world,” said Susan Tousi, general manager, Inkjet Systems, and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company.

Besides Google's Android platform, the KODAK Pic Flick application can also be used for mobile printing of photos from an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Blackberry device.

According to the developer, pictures can be sent to wireless KODAK Digital Picture Frames, as well.

We will continue to deliver smart printing solutions that provide exceptional ink value and high quality output for the home and home office,” added Tousi.

Other highlights of the application include:

- Select, view, zoom, rotate and crop your photos;
- Print any size from 4" x 6" to 8.5" x11";
- Automatically finds and remembers KODAK printers on Local Area Networks
.

Although the developer says that the application is compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 or newer, it appears that KODAK Pick Flick will only work with Android 2.2 or later.

However, there have been reports about some HTC EVO 4G smartphones that cannot run the application, as well as some DROID X devices.

Anyway, the application is available as a free download from Android Market and is compatible with the KODAK ESP 9200, 7200, 5200, C300 Series and ESP Office 6100 and 2100 Series All-in-One Printers, as well as any KODAK PULSE or KODAK EASYSHARE W820 / W1020 Digital Picture Frames.
