Wants to counter Amazon’s Lending Library service

Wanting to go for a Touch eReader from Kobo? Well, the company just made this deal a little bit sweeter as it decided that starting with January it will also throw in a free book each month for its customers.

It sure doesn’t take a genius to see that the offer is targeting Amazon's Lending Library service, but unlike its much larger competitor Kobo is also allowing users to keep the ebooks after they have read them.

There are however some caveats that one has to keep in mind however before proclaiming Kobo’s superiority such as the small list of titles available or the fact that this offer is valid only for Touch eReaders purchased between November 24, 2011 and March 31, 2012.

If that’s all right with you, then you should probably know that, according to moco News, for January the available titles are Pride and Prejudice: The Wild and Wanton Edition, HBR’s 10 Must Reads: On Managing People and Star Wars Vs. Star Trek.
