Kobo unleashed its newest Kobo Arc tablet on the Indian market no so long ago. But now it appears the slate is also coming to the US, soon enough.

With the FCC site being back on track, after the US government shutdown, the Kobo Arc 7 HD and Kobo Arc 10 HD have popped in there for a visit.

That means the tablets are getting closer and closer to showing up on US retail shelves. The information posted on the FCC site is mostly related to testing the wireless capabilities of the slates. To be approved for sale on the American market, the tablets have to be given the green light by the FCC.

On top of that, there are also some manuals available featuring drawings that show how a bunch of functionalities work like turning on/off your tablet, switching to airplane mode and so on.

The 7-inch Kobo Arc HD is expected to retail in the US for the price of $199 / €145, while its larger brother, the Kobo Arc 10 HD will come with a chunkier price tag of $399 / €291.

As Kobo is in the business of selling eBooks, both slates have been bundled with a native bookstore app, eReader app and a customized interface.
