Another tablet offering arrives in India trying to woo customers in this developing market. Kobian has just unleashed its Mercury mTAB 10 slate, bringing another addition to the Android mid-range eco-system.

The new device was introduced by Country Manager for India, Sushmita Das, who said that the “mTAB10 is a gigantic entry in our advanced technology tablets. This tablet will address the growing demands of youth seeking light, stylish and comfortable device at competitive prices.”

“Mercury range of tablets ensures superior performance, power management and exciting features allowing the user with an enriched experience.”

So the device is targeted towards the younger population and packs features good enough to satisfy the needs of such customers.

The mTAB 10 is a 10.1-inch tablet with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, perfect for streaming video content. Power is provided by the 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor coupled with 1GB DDR3 RAM. 8GB are bundled up with the tablet, but the memory can be extended to 32GB through the Micro SD card.

The mTAB also supports 2G SIM calling and provides a 0.3 megapixel camera in front and a rear 2.0 megapixel one plus built-in speakers. It runs Android version 4.2.

The tablet is expected to arrive in India soon, and pricing details are yet to be unveiled.
