All the desktop environments included in the distribution have been updated

Knoppix, a bootable Live CD/DVD, made up from the most popular and useful free and open source applications, backed up by an automatic hardware detection and support for many video cards, SCSI and USB devices, is now at version 7.2.0.

Knoppix 7.1.0 has been expected for quite some time, but the developers have decided to implement a lot of other updates and boost the version to 7.2.0.

Highlights of Knoppix 7.2.0:

• The distribution is based on Debian stable (wheezy) and newer Desktop packages from Debian/testing and Debian/unstable (jessie); Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.9.6; • LibreOffice has been updated to version 4.0.3; • LXDE (Default) with filemanager PCMANFM 1.1 has been implemented; • KDE SC has been updated to version 4.8.4; • VirtualBox has been updated to version 4.2.10 • Gnome has been updated to version 3.4.2.
