Knights of the Phantom Castle Makes Its Way on the iPhone

Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American subsidiary of HUDSON SOFT, recently announced the availability of its Knights of the Phantom Castle game for iPhone and iPod touch. The game is on sale for a limited period on AppStore at a considerably lower price.

Knights of the Phantom Castle brings players the medieval warfare on the iPhone and iPod touch user interface, and takes advantage of all the features the iPhone platform has to offer.

The game lets users construct and conduct a unit of basic knights, over the course of over 50 stages which they have to clear.

Players will have to get past various sets of obstacles, and monsters, and fin treasures within the realm.

The gameplay was developed especially for the Multi-Touch user interface and offers users an excellent graphical experience in the style of classic 16-Bit games.

The game's story takes place across 3 scenes: Camp, Combat Deployment, and Stage Battle.

Obviously, you will be able to make your knight units in the Camp. Users can also set the formation of the unit, when they're in Combat Deployment. The latter scene, Stage Battle is when you are actually fighting.

Players can train one of six knight classes included in the game: Defender, Soldier, Assassin, Ranger, Mage and Healer. Further, each of these classes offer users unique skills (shields, special fighting techniques, etc.) they can use to clear as many levels as they can.

Knights of the Phantom Castle is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices running iPhone OS 3.0 or later, and requires 67.9 MB storage space.

The game is available for a limited time, between August 8th and Aust 23rd, for only $1.99 from the AppStore on iPhone and iPod touch. After the limited time is over the game will cost $9.99.
