has released the final 1.002 patch for Kivi's Underworld, the company's casual action RPG title for Mac OS X. Version 1.002 adds a ton of bug fixes and enhancements. Kivi's Underworld has players adventuring as one of 20 character classes against a variety of dangerous foes.
Soldak Entertainment offers a complete list of changes included with the latest patch to Kivi's Underworld on the company's official web site. Patch 1.002 highlights include: fixed last award not unlocking correctly; fixed Enchanter skills description; fixed a monster out of bounds in adventure 4; updated copyright; fixed Lightning Blast description typo; fixed quest in Fireball Hall (not enough monsters); localized Door, Health, Reward, Score, and left click (to increase on buy skills screen); added OS X 10.3.9 OpenAL installer requirement to requirements & troubleshooting sections of manual; fixed destroying some objects counting as kills (barrels, totems, altarts, gates, etc.); fixed mouse on 2nd monitor in dual monitor setup.
Now, when you change languages, it flushes out all txt files so they will load correct language, according to Soldak Entertainment. Additionally, adventure given status effects (like offense bonus) work across a save/exit/resume.
In Kivi's Underworld, players can either take on the role of Kivi, a young lumen warrior who has to fight the unknown, or step in the shoes of any of the 20 playable characters with unique abilities and magic spells. Gamers can also create new adventures, classes, and powerups within the game, or download some from the Internet.
According to Soldak Entertainment, Kivi's Underworld is meant to be played in 15-30-minute chunks, something that might not appeal to serious gamers. “Yes. We have broken the game up into separate adventures that last around 15 to 30 minutes each,” said Soldak Entertainment's Steven Peeler in an interview. “So you can play one quick adventure or you can keep playing as many adventures in a row that you want to.”Download Kivi's Underworld (Update / Demo / Buy)
