They say that the higher the climb the steeper the fall but, considering how Amy and Samy Bouzaglo fared on last week’s episode of Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” (which you can see in full below), they didn’t even get to climb that high.

Still, their fall was spectacularly bad.

After Ramsay tried and eventually gave up on getting their place in Arizona to treat customers with respect and improve all services, the restaurant started getting lots of 1-star reviews on Yelp.

Reddit picked this up and spread the word. In response, Amy and Samy had a major meltdown on the restaurant’s official Facebook page, as Eater.com can confirm.

The two are now saying that their account had been hacked, that they would never say such horrible things but, as it happens, too few people are actually buying what they’re saying, both literally and figuratively.

“Obviously our Facebook, YELP, Twitter and Website have been hacked. We are working with the local authorities as well as the FBI computer crimes unit to ensure this does not happen again. We did not post those horrible things,” Amy and Samy write on Facebook.

All the other horrible, mostly all-CAPS posts have been removed now, but the aforementioned e-zine has screencaps of all of them. They’re not for the easily offended, safe to say.

If one were to sum them up, one would say that Amy and Samy posted those things under the completely wrong impression that there was some sort of Yelp and Reddit plot against them, meant to ruin their business.

Moreover, Ramsay’s show was misleading, in that it portrayed them as horrible people and Amy as a bad chef, which she’s not.

They also promised to “get all of you” who said anything mean about them on the two social networks, and claimed they had God on their side to do just that.

Among the gems that went online on Facebook, we include just one example: “I AM WONDER WOMAN. I AM A GREAT CHEF, A GREAT WIFE, AND A GREAT MOM TO MY KIDS. AND WE WILL BE PARENTS TO A HUMAN KID, ONE DAY TO. WE WILL SHOW ALL OF YOU.”

More of this here.
