14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, the first teaser trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s “Pompeii” came out and one of the things that really stood out about it was how incredibly ripped Kit Harington of “Game of Thrones,” who plays lead here, looked.
Sadly for his female fans, the costume he’s seen in at the beginning of the trailer isn’t his usual garb, he says for Entertainment Weekly.
As I noted before, Harington plays a gladiator who falls in love with a noble woman right before the volcanic eruption.
“It’s a costume I don’t actually wear for the rest of the film, but it’s an establishing one,” the actor says.
As for his new character, fans of the HBO show might note certain similarities between the two, especially as far as courage and fighting skills go.
However, Kit adds, the difference is that “he’s an angry, angry man who doesn’t care what he does. For a large part of the film, he’s driven by pure rage.”
“Pompeii” comes out in early 2014. Above is the trailer.
