Kirstie Alley is turning to weight loss program Jenny Craig once more, in a bid to lose about 30 pounds (13.6 kg) of extra weight she’s been packing in the past few years. The new endorsement campaign comes 7 years after she first represented Jenny but, this time, Kirstie is also bringing her own brand of weight loss products along.

At 63, Kirstie can probably say that she’s the one celebrity to have received the most media attention for her weight and that’s only because, throughout the years, it has fluctuated greatly.

However, she first attained her weight loss goal on Jenny 7 years ago, when she dropped an impressive 75 pounds (34 kg) on the program. After that, she did Dancing With the Stars, which further helped, and launched her own weight loss company, of whose products she said they worked, but she was sued for making false claims – and she lost.

Now, she tells People magazine, she’s carrying about 30 pounds (13.6 kg) extra and she wants Jenny to help her out. The first ad from the new campaign has already been released and is available for your viewing pleasure below.

“I was good for a while and then I wasn’t good, and the weight crept up. Like I say in the ad, I'm not circus fat. I didn’t hugely screw up. I didn’t gain 75 [34 kg]. I gained 30,” she says.

“I love that you have a consultant,” the star says of what she considers one of the biggest advantages of the program. “It's like being an athlete. No athlete is going to do well without having a coach. We have to equate that to life. Without a coach helping us along the way, I don't think someone can make it for the long haul.”

She says she doesn’t just want to lose weight: she also wants to get healthy and to gain back some of the confidence she lost as she put on weight. “I need to get myself to where I feel cocky again,” she tells the mag.

In this brief interview, Kirstie doesn’t mention how her own products from the Organic Liaison will fit in with this new endorsement deal, but the fact that they will be included is a given, since she says so in the first ad.

Speaking of which, it does come across as particularly fake, doesn’t it? It could be just us, but it’s like Kirstie is really trying very hard to please, so no wonder there are rumors circulating already that she’s taken a huge financial hit with Organic Liaison and she desperately needs the cash.
