Scientologists are decisively against anti-depressants, that is a fact. On her Twitter the other day, Kirstie Alley went on a lengthy rant about how the new cartoon ad for Abilify targeted kids by misleading them.

Above is the ad, check it out for yourself.

It’s not just the fact that the commercial spends half of the air time to describe the side-effects that bothers the actress, as her Twitter feed clearly shows.

“Big PHAMA not marketing to youth? ABILIFY… Talking umbrella, cute little smiley pill, while lethal side effects like suicide r rattled off,” she writes.

“HOW is it legal to INTICE people to down TWO mind altering drugs by using cartoon characters to depict the DRUGS? ABILIFY,” Alley says, among other things.

She also advises her followers and fans to do their research before going to the doctor to put their kids on anti-depressants, saying that the side-effects will always outweigh the benefits. See here for her entire speech against anti-depressants.
