Chris Brown was the special guest invited to perform on the first live results show of the current season of Dancing With the Stars. While the performance itself was top-notch, things got a bit tricky backstage, new reports suggest.

Fans must know that there was some talk about how Brown’s DWTS performance might be canceled because of his outburst after the interview with Good Morning America, when he smashed a window with a chair.

Producers insisted that they weren’t about to change their mind – and, as it turns out, they didn’t, since Brown performed.

Not everybody was happy to see him on stage, though, PopEater writes. Kirstie Alley, Cheryl Burke and Wendy Williams refused to speak to him backstage, going out of their way to show him that they didn’t approve of him there.

“Kirstie wanted to spend as little time as possible around him. It was hard enough for her to be in the same building as him,” an inside source tells PopEater.

Cheryl Burke made no secret of her dislike of Chris and how much she was against having him perform on the show.

“As a victim of domestic violence, I don’t agree with him coming on the show, but it’s out of my control,” she said in one of her most recent interviews.

Wendy Williams said on her show that she was “disgusted with this little boy” after the GMA incident, so she did her best to show Brown that when he came to perform.

Even host Tom Bergeron admitted to Ryan Seacrest that it would be best if he didn’t interview Chris, because he’d say something that could infuriate him, just like it happened on GMA.

If one is to believe PopEater’s production source, Chris Brown got a very cold reception backstage at the DWTS, even though fans’ warm reaction compensated for it later.

“No one wanted anything to do with him. Most of the cast think it’s disgraceful that ABC invited him on in the first place, but after he smashed a window backstage at Good Morning America, almost everyone participating in the competition thought he should have been canceled,” says the spy.

I agree with "the girls." I don't think bad behavior should be rewarded. It sends a message that his behavior is condoned. I was very disappointed with the show for not canceling his performance.

My gosh how to get better ratings, get a unstable person who has no control of himself to come on your show! Wow this is a no brainer. It is sad that ratings are more important than violence these days. God help us all!
