A new Chanel collection will be out in 2014, but “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart has already been making the rounds at the Dallas Fair Park which saw the presentation of the Métiers d'Art Paris‐Dallas collection. Which makes sense, since she is the new face of the brand.

Along with Dakota Fanning, the 23-year-old actress headed the Americana-inspired fashion collection at the Chanel show. She was photographed wearing a pair of high-waisted orange leather trousers paired with a cropped long-sleeved top, from the very spring-summer collection she's promoting.

Wearing dark make-up and sporting a new tattoo on her right forearm, Kristen posed with a classic convertible Cadillac in the background and an American star-shaped sign which read “Paris Dallas,” but she didn't have a cowboy look to her, despite the leather pants.

The latest Channel collection is masterminded by Karl Lagerfeld, which might explain the interesting choice of Kristen Stewart as spokesperson, as the two have been friends since 2012 when they met on a photoshoot. Ever since then, Kristen has been wearing his creations on the red carpet.

Karl Lagerfeld, the artistic director of the Chanel Fashion House, chose the name “Métiers d' Art” years ago, referring to the “the skills of art” that are needed to create a new line of clothing and a runway show. The show takes place every year in a different city outside of Paris.

This year, Dallas was chosen because it was the inspiration for the latest collection which is aimed at the old Texas, but Lagerfeld insists that this is the old West “even before the Civil War” and that his models are “not typical cowboys, they are transposed, very sophisticated.”

Among those present at the fashion show were Dakota Fanning, Lauren Hutton, Geraldine Chaplin and Zoe Kravitz.

With this recent move, Stewart joins in the ranks of Chanel spokespersons like Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Blake Lively, Diane Kruger and Keira Knightley. It's worth mentioning that she's also been elected as the face of Balenciaga's latest fragrance “Florabotanica.”

Meanwhile, “Twilight” co-star and former beau Robert Pattinson is the face of Dior, so it seems that both actors have had successful forays into the fashion world.
