After kicking off her career with the supernatural tale of two vampires trying to find their place in a world where they know they do not belong 'Interview With the Vampire', in which Kirsten starred next to the consecrated actors Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, the young starlet is on her way to work on another movie of this kind.
Until now, Dunst's portfolio included films in which she took on parts of teenagers with issues, comedies and love stories, and that without even mentioning the hit success that she was in-the 'Spider-Man' series. That virtually makes 'A Jealous Ghost' her first foray into the supernatural genre in many years.
The movie will focus on Kirsten's character, a student who travels to London to study. There, she falls in love with one of her professors and embarks on a love affair with him. The only impediment in their lives is that, at one point, the main character starts seeing demons and has to learn to face them.
'A Jealous Ghost' will also feature Kirsten as producer, with the ambitious actress saying that she plans to make it alike 'Shinning' or Roman Polanski's 'Repulsion'. The project is based on a novel by A.N. Wilson but the screenplay (by Megan Holley) will bring some significant changes to it. The most important one would be that the book was written in the third person omniscient, while the movie will present various points of view, with new turns of events and new characters.
No other details about production have been released, but it is expected that Kirsten herself will make them all public at one point or another. Keep you posted.
